Local Canberra business Formulate Information Design is offering its expertise for free. As part of a research project, they want to redesign a form for one lucky business.
Why forms design? You might not have noticed, but every business relies on forms, from sales orders to service requests. Business success, therefore, comes from making sure these forms are distributed, completed and processed with minimal effort and errors.
Experts like Formulate know that investment in forms design delivers an excellent return. Now they are setting out to prove it, and are looking for a business that is willing to participate in the research.
Formulate will redesign one business’s form, for free. All that the business needs to do is measure how well the form works, before and after, and be willing for this information to be published. The form can be paper-based or electronic (e.g. on the web).
“We’ve helped many organisations improve their bottom line through better forms,” says Jessica Enders, Principal of Formulate Information Design.
“Our clients range from national businesses like SEEK, Australia’s Number 1 job site, to locals like the ACT Specialist Breast Care Nursing Service. Our designs focus on reducing confusion, errors and stress, for both the form filler and the form owner. This in turn means increased sales, fewer calls to help desks and greater customer satisfaction.”
Being Canberra based, Formulate is keen to support the local community. They hope that the participating business will come from the ACT.
In encouraging businesses to nominate for the project, Jessica commented that “in tough economic times like these, it makes sense to reduce costs through improved administrative processes. Why waste money on unnecessary follow-up calls and re-work, when—with forms designed by an expert—things go right the first time?”
Use our simple online form to nominate your business. Nominations should be submitted by Friday 5 September 2008.
