In 2007, Formulate Information Design ran a ground-breaking study into the way formatting affects the use of data tables. The results of this study are to be published shortly on A List Apart and be presented at the 50th BFMA Symposium in Las Vegas on 5 May 2008.
As usual with such things, the initial study raised as many questions as it resolved. To try to get an answer to these questions, we are now running a follow-up study. We need a substantial number of participants to ensure the results are statistically valid and reliable.
The study should take less than 5 minutes to complete and you don't have to provide any personal information to participate.
